Appearance in the glass–inky garnet–and nose–barnyard, black plum, menthol, leather–would seem to point to a "bigger" wine, but this light, energetic, natural red is really just about a grape, Saint Laurent, doing its own thing. Light-to-medium bodied with a burstingly fresh black plum to bing cherry palate. Chillable seems to imply "throwaway," and while this wine takes nicely to a light chill, bringing down the temperature too much will mean that you miss tons of nuance. Favored summertime quaff of Kool Kids; for lesser mortals as well.
