What’s pleasantly surprising about this wine is that–like its Alpine neighbors–it does display with pear and green plum and white flowers, it does have the minerality and thirst-quenching freshness, but it is also has pleasantly surprising power and depth. It is a surprisingly serious wine, especially if petite arvine is not a grape you know. Perfect for contemplating on its own; more perfect as a food pairing, especially with a more substantial meal.
